Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. Acquires National ATM Operator
December 20, 2004 – Mississauga, Ontario -- Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. (Threshold) has announced that it has purchased the assets of Toronto-based eStation Networks Inc., including its wholly-owned subsidiary, E-Cash Services Inc., a national private label ATM (Automated Teller Machine) operator. The E-Cash network is comprised of approximately 370 full-service turnkey ATMs, deployed into a number of significant Canadian retail locations.
Ontario-based Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. provides outsourced transaction switching, ATM management services and turnkey ATM solutions to financial institutions and retailers. Threshold also owns and operates a nationwide private-label ATM network, branded ‘Laser Cash’. With the acquisition of E-Cash, Threshold’s ATM network will exceed 1400 units, making Threshold one of the largest operators of full service ATMs in Canada.
